Racing Tips What anchor works best in the
St. Johns River's mud? How do we
dock downtown? Why does my
mainsail trim look weird? Learn where
to sail, how to do it safely, how to sail faster, how to cook it while you’re anchored out, etc.
Cruises and Social EventsEnjoy family-friendly raft-ups, fun cruises, and dock-side parties. This is what many of us really look forward to, a chance to “hang-out” and socialize with our friends.
Fun, Informative MeetingsMembers and guests learn what's happening next, talk about how much
fun they had at the last event, and
get informative tips and entertaining programs.
We meet the third (3rd) Thursday of every month at the New Orleans Cafe.
NFCC Competitions
North Florida Cruising Club (NFCC) sponsors four river races and five ocean races each year. These races include the area’s first women’s regatta - Hands On the Helm, and the only premiere ocean racing series in North Florida, the First Coast Offshore Challenge (FCOC).
The sixth annual FCOC encompassed a series of three races representing over 100 miles of offshore sailing with ports of call in two historic cities of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Race 1 began off St. Augustine, Florida for a day of long-leg buoy racing, followed by an awards party that evening. Race 2 started at the St. Augustine entrance buoy, heading out to sea to a fixed line of longitude and returning, followed by an awards party brunch the next day. Race 3 was an overnighter to St. Marys, Georgia, where the final awards ceremony and party were held.Read more
